Your first visit

What to expect

Plan for a little longer than the service time on your first appointment — the consultation is part of it, and we don't rush it.

Arrive & settle

Come five minutes early. There's espresso, sparkling water and a bench by the window. Street parking is free on Roseneath.

The consultation

Fifteen minutes with your stylist before anything starts. Bring photos — including ones you dislike. We check hair history and condition, then agree a plan and a firm price.

The service

Colour is painted, processed and toned, with a bond treatment where we're lifting. Long services get a break, a snack and a phone charger.

Home care & rebooking

A blow-dry, a styling lesson if you want one, and honest product advice — no hard sell. We rebook you before you leave so your stylist stays available.

Questions

Good to know

How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks for cuts and about four to six weeks for colour, longer if you want a specific stylist on a Saturday. Bridal should be booked three to six months out, with the trial roughly six weeks before the wedding. We do keep a cancellation list — ask the front desk to add you and we'll call if something opens.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for 48 hours' notice so we can offer the chair to someone else. Cancelling inside 24 hours or not showing up is charged at 50% of the booked service, and colour appointments over three hours hold a card at booking. Life happens, though — call us and talk to a human.
Do I really need a consultation for colour?
Yes, for every colour service. It's free, takes fifteen minutes, and can happen immediately before your appointment or as a standalone visit earlier in the week. It's how we avoid the two bad outcomes: quoting you a price that changes at the desk, or booking two hours for something that genuinely needs five.
Where do I park in Scott's Addition?
Free two-hour street parking runs along Roseneath Road and Norfolk Street, and it's usually easy outside the brewery rush on Friday and Saturday evenings. For appointments over two hours, use the free surface lot behind the building off Clay Street — the entrance is beside the loading dock and our spaces are marked in rust.
How long do extensions take, and how often do they need work?
The free consultation comes first so we can colour-match and order your hair, which takes about a week to arrive. Installation runs around three hours. Hand-tied rows need a move-up every seven to nine weeks, tape-ins every six to eight, and with good home care the hair itself usually lasts nine to twelve months.
Can I bring my kids, or a friend?
Absolutely. There's seating up front, the wifi is fast, and the front desk keeps colouring books. For services over three hours we'd gently suggest the company is happier at Carytown or a Scott's Addition patio.

Call us. Past 15 minutes we may need to shorten the service or rebook, because the chair after yours is someone else's afternoon.
