Web design in Richmond, Virginia.

Most Richmond businesses don't need a big website. They need one that shows up when someone searches, loads instantly on a phone, and makes the phone ring. That is what we build — a working business asset rather than a brochure — and we build it in three days.

Start a build See pricing

Built for the businesses actually around us.

We're based on East Main Street downtown, and we work with the trades, shops and practices in our own metro — barbers on Broad, HVAC crews running out of Mechanicsville, food trucks parked in Scott's Addition, therapists with an office in Midlothian. Not a template mill in another time zone that has never heard of Short Pump.

If a customer's next step is to call you, come to you, or order from you, the site has one job. We build for that job, lay the page out around it, and leave out the rest.

Trades & home services

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, contractors, remodelers, mobile detailing.

Storefront & personal care

Barbers, salons, tattoo studios, boutiques, makers, coffee shops, restaurants, food trucks, caterers.

Practices & professionals

Therapists, counselors, photographers, trainers, consultants, coaches, real estate agents, tutors, nonprofits.

What's in every build.

The parts nobody remembers to ask about, included as standard.

Built on WordPress

The platform most designers and agencies already know, so you're never stuck with us. Administrator access from day one.

Fast on a phone

Compressed images and caching. Speed is a ranking factor and the difference between a call and a bounce.

Readable by screen readers

Real headings, alt text and contrast that passes — better for people, and better for Google.

SEO and AEO groundwork

Page titles, descriptions, clean heading structure, a sitemap, Search Console submission, structured data that AI answer engines can read, and your Google Business Profile connected.

Forms that actually arrive

Tested end to end, with spam filtering and a copy of every message stored in your dashboard.

Written to convert

We draft the copy from your call, aimed at the one action you want a visitor to take. You correct it. Nothing goes live sounding like a template.

Why we launch on our own address first.

Buying a domain is where most small-business websites die. You pick a name, you get talked into hosting you don't need, you lose the login, and nine months later there is still nothing at the end of the link. So we removed the step.

Your site goes live at yourbusiness.rvadigital.com — included, secured with SSL, indexed by Google, and a real address you can text to a customer the day we finish. When you want your own name, it's about $15 a year plus $150 for us to move you, or free if you point it yourself. Nothing you've built gets thrown away.

What it costs.

Published, because you shouldn't have to sit through a call to find out whether you can afford a website. Fixed scope on every package is what keeps these numbers real.

Areas we cover.

Richmond city, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, Midlothian, Glen Allen, Short Pump, Mechanicsville, Ashland, Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Powhatan, Goochland, New Kent, Charles City, Amelia and Dinwiddie.

Most of the work happens over a call and email, so being twenty minutes away matters less than knowing the market. We do meet in person when it helps — usually for photography, or when someone would rather hand over a folder than upload one.

Richmond web design questions.

How much does a small business website cost in Richmond?

Ours start at $299 for a one-page site plus $39 a month for hosting and care, and run to $1,500 for an online store. Around Richmond you'll see quotes from roughly $500 to $8,000 for the same brief. The spread is mostly about how much process sits between you and the finished page. What decides whether the site earns anything is different: whether it is built to be found and laid out to convert, which is standard on every build we do.

Do you only work with Richmond businesses?

Mostly, and on purpose — knowing the market makes the copy better. But we've built for clients outside the metro, including a musician in Danville. If you're further out and the job fits, ask.

Can you take over a site another Richmond agency built?

Usually. If it's WordPress we move it onto our hosting and pick up the maintenance. If it's on Wix, Squarespace or a builder that won't let you export, we rebuild it — often faster than untangling the old one — and redirect your old pages so you don't lose search traffic.

Will my site show up on Google Maps?

Getting into the map pack is mostly about your Google Business Profile, not your website, but the two have to agree. Every build connects your profile and puts matching contact details and business schema on every page, which is the part most sites get wrong. Ongoing local search and AEO campaigns beyond that groundwork are run by our sister company, The Digital Hall.

Tell us about the business.

You'll hear back the same business day with a straight answer on price, timeline, and whether the address you want is free. No sales sequence, no drip emails.
